4 made in has designed and developed the IUL Metaverse, the new virtual environment for the Telematic University of IUL Studies in Florence. This project marks a significant shift in the landscape of academic education and research, offering professors and students an interactive, engaging, and fully digital learning experience.

The IUL Metaverse consists of three virtual areas dedicated to degree courses, master’s programs, and research activities. Each area includes a conference room equipped for synchronous meetings and a library with asynchronous content, easily accessible to both students and faculty. The project is integrated with the university’s learning platform and stands out for its use of custom elements, including themed furnishings, institutional logos, and a skydome that enhances the immersive and unique environment.

Key features of the IUL Metaverse include personalized avatars that can express actions and reactions, and the ability to access integrated multimedia content, enhancing interaction within the 3D environment. These virtual spaces can accommodate up to 50 avatars simultaneously, making the Metaverse a dynamic and versatile place for conferences, meetings, exams, and tutoring sessions.

A Project for professors and students: immersive interaction and learning

The IUL Metaverse allows professors to organize courses, workshops, and conferences in a highly personalized environment where they can interact with students in a more direct and participatory way.

In particular, the integration of multimedia content within the 3D platform enables smooth access, supported by comprehensive assistance services. This new dimension of teaching enhances the versatility of the university, now offering an active and immersive learning experience to both enrolled students and those interested in exploring the university.

With this project, 4 made in establishes itself as a leading partner in digitalization and innovation in education, reaffirming its commitment to creating cutting-edge technological solutions.
